Enhance Product Life and Ice Quality with In-Line Water Filters
Your home's water quality is a critical factor in how your Marvel Nugget Ice Machine performs. Testing your water before installing your unit is important to ensure a longer product lifetime and the best possible ice production and quality. Follow the steps below to make sure your machine is set up for success.
Testing Water Quality
Before fitting the water connection, test your water using the included TDS Meter in the product literature pack. Water above 200 TDS requires a specific in-line water filter be installed. If our specified filter is not used, water related issues will not be covered under warranty. Water above 400 TDS must be professionally treated.
What is TDS?
TDS (or Total Dissolved Solids) are organic and inorganic substances dissolved in the water and are generally not visible. These materials can include minerals, salts, metals, plant material, phosphates, nitrates, potassium, calcium and chloride.
Other Important Notes:
Damage from improper water supply is not covered under warranty, and use with water softening systems will void warranty.
Higher levels of water hardness will require more frequent cleanings.
Regardless of water quality, periodic cleaning removes scale buildup inside the machine resulting in better performance and a longer product life.
Cleanings and service related to lack of cleaning is not covered under warranty.
